Beauty is in everything. It has no definition. Picture a full oak in autumn – the leaves, sprayed with the colors of fire, the rustling carpet underneath, like a roaring inferno. Beauty? Undoubtedly. Here’s another tree – stripped down and bare, just a skeleton of branches. Beauty? Even without a flaming cloak, this tree is as beautiful as the autumnal oak. But not everyone sees this. We are drawn towards the bright, inviting appearance of the grand tree. The plain tree usually goes unnoticed. Maybe if we stop to actually look at it, we’ll see how beautiful it is. How the branches embrace the infinite sky and seem to cut through its entirety. Unrecognized beauty is still beauty and those who see and appreciate it are blessed.
